Lebka je len p\u0159imalovan\u00e1, lebo nebola n\u00e1jden\u00e1, ako v\u00f4bec v\u0161etky ostatnie kosti istotne pri naberan\u00ed kamenia na vozy pomrvily sa a zahynuly. Z hroble odvozili kamenia od dvoch \u2014 troch rokov na cesty vraj i vy\u0161o sto vozov. Ke\u010f takmer posledn\u00ed voz nakladali, vtedy pri\u0161li na \u010delus\u0165, ktor\u00e1 je i trochu nalomen\u00e1. Dal som i kopa\u0165, ale mimo kusa kosti ve\u00edmi zvetralej, a mimo neko\u013eko \u010driepkov \u010diernych, neglieden\u00fdch z hrnca nena\u0161lo sa ni\u010doho. Hrobel le\u017e\u00ed na \u010distinke medzi horou, s\u00favisiacej s panskou l\u00fakou, a pred t\u00fdm kosila sa tie\u017e ; teraz sl\u00fa\u017ei len za pasienok. Hrobel m\u00e1 alebo radnej mala v priemere 6 m. \u0161\u00edrky a 9 m. zdl\u017eky; krajom je ako oven\u010den\u00e1 dos\u0165 star\u00fdm stromov\u00edm, menovite jedna lipa bola vel&#8217;mi tlst\u00e1, ako sved\u010d\u00ed pe\u0148 z nej.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Od hory v tr\u00edch smeroch le\u017e\u00ed hrobel na z\u00e1pad 52 m., na juh 44 m., na sever 20 m. Spodok jej z\u00e1le\u017eal z hrub\u00fdch balvanov, vrch v\u0161ak i z drobn\u00e9ho kamenia, ktor\u00e9 pomocou op\u00e1lok bolo nakladan\u00e9 na vozy. Povstala-Ii ona n\u00e1sledkom t\u00fdm, \u017ee d\u00e1vni obyvatelia posn\u00e1\u0161ali kamenie na hromadu, aby z\u00edskali l\u00faku, alebo in\u00fdm sp\u00f4sobom: kto \u017ee n\u00e1m to povie? Z\u00e1mky na \u00f4elusti, jedna druhej skoro rovn\u00e9, nachodia sa, ako u\u017e \u0159e\u010den\u00e9, obe na jednej a tej\u017ee pravej strane, jedn\u00fdm \u010drenov\u00fdm zubom od seba oddelen\u00e9. Na lavej strane s\u00e1nky, ako na vyobrazen\u00ed vide\u0165, stoja tri \u010drenov\u00e9 zuby; p\u0159edn\u00edch d\u00e1vno niet, lebo ich hniezda vyp\u013a\u0148a \u010dierna piese\u0148. Z\u00e1mky s\u00fa tak tesno op\u00e1san\u00e9, \u017ee e\u0161te ani teraz nedaj\u00fa sa okolo kosti zvrtn\u00fa\u0165, z \u010doho je patrn\u00e9, \u017ee \u010dloveku museli zuby vybi\u0165, ko\u017eu odreza\u0165 alebo prekla\u0165, a tak ve\u013ekou silou zAmky zalo\u017ei\u0165 a zamkn\u00fa\u0165. KI\u00fa\u010dov\u00e9 dierky hladia na von. D\u013ea podoby a zachovalosti z\u00e1mok mohol by sa ich vek uda\u0165 sn\u00e1\u010f nie viac, ne\u017e na sto \u2014 dvesto rokov.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bli\u017e\u0161ie dat by sa ur\u010di\u0165 ich vek len dla v\u00e4\u010d\u0161ej kollekcie z\u00e1mok, \u010do do veku ist\u00fdch. N\u00e1lez je nev\u00fdslovn\u00e9 z\u00e1hadn\u00fd; a ve\u013emi podivn\u00e9 pri tom je, \u017ee ani n\u00e1zov honu, ani nejak\u00e1 ludov\u00e1 poves\u0165 nepod\u00e1va n\u00e1m svetla, dla ktor\u00e9ho dalo by sa zatv\u00e1ra\u0165 na udalos\u0165, s\u00favisiacu s n\u00e1lezom. Susedn\u00fd hon pod Pt\u00e1\u010dnikom zov\u00fa \u00bbCig\u00e1nkou\u00ab, \u00bbNa Cig\u00e1nku\u00ab. Na priek naj\u00fasilnej\u0161iemu kutaniu nem\u00f4\u017eem ani analogonu n\u00e1js\u0165, ani nejakej zvesti v literat\u00fare. Tomu k v\u00f4li dal som vyhotovi\u0165 pekn\u00fd akvareli a d\u00eda neho svetlopisn\u00e9 obrazy, ktor\u00e9 rozposlal som: do R\u00edma, do Prahy, do Pe\u0161te, Ostrihoma, do Oravsk\u00e9ho Z\u00e1mku, Lambertovi Karnerovi, \u0161\u0165astn\u00e9mu zk\u00famate\u013eovi podzemn\u00fdch bydl\u00edsk a in\u00fdm priate\u013eom, ale dozvede\u0165 nedozvedel som sa ni\u010doho. D\u00eda jednej z fotografij on\u00fdch vyhotoven\u00fd je i obraz v \u010dl\u00e1nku tomto. Dosia\u013e je teda pole domnienok \u00faplne slobodn\u00e9. H\u013eadal som ana-logon v m\u00faze\u00e1ch ; m\u00e1rne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dozvedal som sa u znalcov z\u00e1konov a pr\u00e1va,, zd\u00e1li\u017e z\u00e1konom za ist\u00e9 priestupky nebolo ustanoven\u00e9 kame\u0148ovanie, zostren\u00e9 sn\u00e1\u010f z\u00e1mkami na \u00fastach za \u0165a\u017ek\u00e9 r\u00fahanie sa Bohu, alebo za prezradenie tajomstva, za \u0165a\u017ek\u00fa pomluvu alebo za \u00bbstrig\u00f4nstvo?\u00ab Stopy v z\u00e1konn\u00edkoch o tom nenie. Ani v s\u00fadoch o \u00bbstrig\u00e1ch\u00ab nieto ni\u010doho podobn\u00e9ho. Tak st\u00e1li by sme z o\u010di v o\u010di lebo so s\u00fadom \u013eudu (linchovanie) alebo s ukrutn\u00fdm trestom medzi \u00bbh\u00f4rnymi chlapci\u00ab \u010dili zbojn\u00edkmi? Ve\u010f po Sitne a okolo Sitna m\u00e1me \u00bbZbojn\u00edcku studni\u010dku\u00ab, \u00bbzbojn\u00edcky st\u00f4l\u00ab, \u00bbzbojn\u00edcku kuchy\u0148u\u00ab, \u00bbZbojn\u00edcke bralce\u00ab, \u00bbZboj\u00edska\u00ab. at\u010f. Susedn\u00fd hon \u00bbCig\u00e1nka\u00ab zaviedol by n\u00e1s sn\u00e1\u010f pr\u00e1ve medzi Cig\u00e1\u0148ov, \u017ee azda Cig\u00e1nku tam zabili a na Pt\u00e1\u010dn\u00edku kamen\u00edm zah\u00e1dzali?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dopt\u00e1val som sa i medzi Cig\u00e1\u0148mi, \u010di sn\u00e1\u010f nejak\u00e9 \u00fastne podanie netrv\u00e1; ale nevedeli mi ni\u010doho &#8211; zvestova\u0165, a od svojich starcov. (S\u00e1m pocloval som r. 1883. jednoho, ktor\u00fd mal sto rokov), \u017ee ni\u010doho podobn\u00e9ho nesl\u00fdchali. A predsa, \u017ee by na \u00bbCig\u00e1nke\u00ab boli kedysi Cig\u00e1ni b\u00fdvali, a odtia\u013e \u017ee by hon mal n\u00e1zov, to d\u013ea teraj\u0161\u00edch okolnost\u00ed nen\u00ede pravdepodobn\u00e9. Tak \u010faleko od: obc\u00ed neusala\u0161ievaj\u00fa sa Cig\u00e1ni. Vr\u00e1\u0165me sa e\u0161te raz k hrobli. Jestli \u010delus\u0165 so z\u00e1mkami poklad\u00e1me za d\u00f4kaz mu\u010denia alebo tr\u00fdznenia a smrti (ktor\u00fd v\u00fdklad stoj\u00ed zaiste najbli\u017e\u0161ie),, vtedy sama hrobe\u013e m\u00f4\u017ee ma\u0165 dvojak\u00fd p\u00f4vod : lebo ne\u0161\u0165astn\u00edka tam ukamenovali a kamenie na jeho mrtvola nasn\u00e1\u0161ali, alebo do hotovej hroble mrtvolu, od inul dovle\u010den\u00fa, zah\u00e1dzali. Podotknul som u\u017e, \u017ee hrobe\u013e mohla povsta\u0165 z \u010distenia l\u00faky od sk\u00e1\u013ea, ako podobn\u00fdch hrobiel bolo v\u0161ade plno, ba jesto i dosia\u013e.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tomuto p\u00f4vodu v\u0161ak zd\u00e1 sa protire\u010di\u0165 len to, \u017ee na tej, malej l\u00fa\u010dke pomerne ve\u013ek\u00fa hrobe\u013e necha\u0165, nebolo celkom rozumn\u00e9 alebo nevyhnutn\u00e9, ke\u010f kamenie do dos\u0165 bl\u00edzkej hory mohlo by\u0165 odnosen\u00e9, ba na z\u00e1pad dolu svahom i zkrb\u00e1lan\u00e9. Tak \u017ee nat\u00edska sa my\u0161lienka, \u010di kamenie pr\u00e1ve nebrali z hory, kde ho je plno, a nenosili na mrtvolu? Len \u017ee \u010delus\u0165 bola n\u00e1jden\u00e1 na samom dne ; a ke\u010f by cel\u00e1 hrobe\u013e bola takto nanosen\u00e1: to nebol by mohol vykona\u0165 jedon \u010dlovek, ani m\u00e1lo \u013eud\u00ed, a tak bolo by i ve\u013ea svedkov, a i \u0161irok\u00fd ch\u00fdr, \u017ee by pamiatka sotva bola dosia\u013e vymizla z pam\u00e4ti a z \u00fast \u013eudu. (\u010co si dosial lud v\u00fdprava, \u017ee jeho predkovia ne\u010faleko odtia\u013eto v doline Bard\u00ednovej pod Bohojo vr\u0161kom v\u00eddavali k\u0148aza bez hlavy, ba cel\u00e9 processie prechodi\u0165, alebo mali\u010dk\u00e9ho panika vo velmi vysokom klob\u00faku, a \u017ee pastierom st\u00e1do \u010dasto rozdurilo: to sotva s\u00favis\u00ed s na\u0161\u00edm predmetom).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ponev\u00e1\u010d v\u0161ak povesti (aspo\u0148 dosia\u013e) \u017eiadnej nem\u00e1me, ost\u00e1va domn\u011bnka, \u017ee vra\u017eda stala se potajomne, a mrtvolu p\u00e1chate\u013e skryl do hotovej d\u00e1vnej\u0161ej hrobke. Teraz pod\u00e1m e\u0161te to m\u00e1lo, \u010do som sa predsa dozvedel. V knihe<em> &#8222;Magyarorsz\u00e1k pgyh\u00e1zi \u00e9s politikai \u00f6sszek\u00f6ltetesei a r\u00f3mai Szent-sz\u00e9kkel\u00ab (Vilhelm Frakn\u00f3i ==. Cirkevn\u00e9 a politick\u00e9 po\u0165ahy Uhorska k r\u00edmskej Sv\u00e4tej stolici)<\/em> str. 87. pripom\u00edna sa, \u017ee Mikul\u00e1\u0161, prepo\u0161t sedmohradsk\u00fd, sest\u0159enec kr\u00e1\u013ea Ladislava IV., za arcibiskupa ostrihomsk\u00e9ho vymenovan\u00fd, ale kroz biskupa a p\u00e1pe\u017esk\u00e9ho leg\u00e1tusa Filipa, zosaden\u00fd, upadol do smrte\u013enej nemoce. \u00bbKe\u010f c\u00edtil bl\u00ed\u017ei\u0165 sa posledniu svoju hodinku, dal prosi\u0165 leg\u00e1tusa, aby jeho m\u0155tve telo do posv\u00e4tenej zeme smelo by\u0165 pochovan\u00e9, \u010do leg\u00e1tus aj dovolil. Medzi t\u00fdm rozniesol sa kriv\u00fd ch\u00fdr, ako by legatus bol nariadil, \u017ee v\u0161etci t\u00ed z\u00edskaj\u00fa odpustky, ktor\u00ed na jeho rakev kame\u0148 hodia. N\u00e1sledkom toho r\u00fatil sa \u013eud do hrobitova, a to\u013eko kamen\u00eda nah\u00e1dzali na rakev, \u017ee ve\u013ek\u00e1 hromada povstala.\u00ab <em>(P. Podhragyay in litt.) <\/em>\u2014 \u00bbV Poznansku bolo zvykom samovrahov nepochov\u00e1va\u0165, lebo by ich vraj zem nebola v sebe trpela, preto ich zah\u00e1dzali kamen\u00edm.\u00ab (Dr. A. Bielek in litt.) \u2014 Sn\u00e1\u010f \u013eud nechcel znesv\u00e4ti\u0165 pochovan\u00edm samovraha \u00bbmatku\u00ab zem. Pre tak\u00e9ho mohlo by\u0165 kamenie dobr\u00e9. To k ukame\u0148ovaniu; ale k z\u00e1mkam nedozvedel som sa ani to\u013eko. Jedine z Legend vieme o sv. Raymundovi Nonnatovi, \u017ee mu Mahomed\u00e1ni v Afrike dali na \u00fasta z\u00e1mku, aby nemohol ohlasova\u0165 vieru Kristovu. (31. Jak zn\u00e1mo toti\u017e, v\u011b\u0159il lid, \u017ee mnoz\u00ed zem\u0159el\u00ed z hrob\u016f vych\u00e1zej\u00edce lidi tr\u00e1p\u00ed m\u016frou, je stra\u0161\u00ed, neb i \u0161kodu p\u016fsob\u00ed. V\u016f\u010di takov\u00fdm mrtvol\u00e1m r\u016fzn\u011b se zach\u00e1zelo. Bu\u010f vrazili do hrobu k\u016fl, jen\u017e mrtvolu prokl\u00e1l, neb, jak jsem nalezl z\u00e1pisek v jednom archivu farn\u00edm, dala c\u00edrkevn\u00ed vrchnost mrtvolu ze zem\u011b sv\u011bcen\u00e9 vyhrabat, pak i rakev a v\u0161echnu okoln\u00ed zem, na\u010de\u017e se hrob ten zah\u00e1zel kamen\u00edm, aby v n\u011bm nikdo v\u00edce pochov\u00e1n b\u00fdti nemohl. Mrtvola byla vyd\u00e1na brachio saeculari, jen\u017e ji s rakv\u00ed a se v\u0161emi p\u0159i vykop\u00e1n\u00ed upot\u0159eben\u00fdmi n\u00e1stroji na hranici obecn\u00ed dal sp\u00e1lit a popel do potoka hodit. V p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b tomto, a\u010d se udal asi p\u0159ed teprve 220 roky, se mezi lidem \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e1 zv\u011bst nezachovala. Podobn\u011b si vysv\u011btluji p\u0159\u00edpad slovensk\u00fd. Jak pan pisatel s\u00e1m prav\u00ed, jmenuje se sousedn\u00ed hon \u00bbCig\u00e1nka\u00ab, a \u00bbpredsa, \u017ee by na \u00bbCig\u00e1nke\u00ab boli kedysi cig\u00e1ni b\u00fdvali, a odtial \u017ee by hon mal n\u00e1zov, to dla teraj\u0161\u00edch okolnost\u00ed nenie pravd\u011bpodobn\u00e9.\u00ab \u2014 Snad n\u011bkde v poli, neb i v n\u011bkter\u00e9 sousedn\u00ed d\u011bdin\u011b zem\u0159ela cig\u00e1nka, kterou lid tamn\u00ed pochoval. Brzo potom povstali mezi lidem pov\u011bsti, \u017ee v kraji stra\u0161\u00ed! Kdo to mohl jin\u00fd b\u00fdti, ne\u017e cig\u00e1nka, kter\u00e1 p\u0159ec podle \u00fasudku lidu ji\u017e za \u017eiva \u010darod\u011bjnic\u00ed byla? Tedy ven z hrobu s n\u00ed a u\u010diniti ji ne\u0161kodnou. Jak\u00e9ho druhu asi stra\u0161en\u00ed to bylo, \u017ee k uvarov\u00e1n\u00ed jeho na \u010delist mrtvoly p\u0159iv\u011bsili z\u00e1mky, vysv\u011btlit si nemohu. To snad dovede n\u011bkdo jin\u00fd, obeznalep\u0161\u00ed v pov\u011bstech a stra\u0161idlech. Snad by se nalezl n\u011bjak\u00fd z\u00e1znam ve farn\u00edch matrik\u00e1ch neb farn\u00edch neb obecn\u00edch archivech tamn\u00edho okol\u00ed; snad by bylo z\u00e1hodn\u00e9, prozkoumati archiv vrchnost\u00ed, jim\u017e kdysi kraj ten p\u0159in\u00e1le\u017eel.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Jind\u0159ich \u0160to\u010dek, far\u00e1\u0159.) <em>\u010cesk\u00fd lid, XXX<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Do\u0161ly t\u0159i odpov\u011bdi. Z prvopo\u010d\u00e1tku zd\u00e1lo se mi pravd\u011bnepodobn\u00e9, \u017ee by zm\u00edn\u011bn\u00e1 operace byla provedena na \u010dlov\u011bku \u017eiv\u00e9m ; ten by sice byl m\u011bl z toho smrt, ale zajist\u00e9 ne okam\u017eitou, \u017ee by byli mohli pachatel\u00e9 mrtvolu hned zah\u00e1zeti kamen\u00edm. Sp\u00ed\u0161e vid\u00edm v tom justifikaci posmrtnou, pochod\u00edc\u00ed z pov\u011bry. Jak zn\u00e1mo toti\u017e, v\u011b\u0159il lid, \u017ee mnoz\u00ed zem\u0159el\u00ed z hrob\u016f vych\u00e1zej\u00edce lidi tr\u00e1p\u00ed m\u016frou, je slra\u0161\u00ed, neb i \u0161kodu p\u016fsob\u00ed. V\u016f\u010di tak\u00fdm mrtvol\u00e1m r\u016fzn\u011b se zach\u00e1zelo. Bu\u010f vrazili do hrobu k\u016fl, jen\u017e mrtvolu prokl\u00e1l, neb jak jsem nalezl z\u00e1pisek v jednom archivu farn\u00edm, dala c\u00edrkevn\u00ed vrchnost mrtvolu ze zem\u011b sv\u011bcen\u00e9 vyhrabat, pak i rakev a v\u0161echnu okoln\u00ed zem, na\u010de\u017e se hrob ten zah\u00e1zel kamen\u00edm, by v n\u011bm nikdo v\u00edce pochov\u00e1n b\u00fdti nemohl. Mrtvola byla vyd\u00e1na brachio saeculari, jen\u017e ji s rakv\u00ed a se v\u0161emi p\u0159i vykop\u00e1n\u00ed upot\u0159eben\u00fdmi n\u00e1stroji na pramici obecn\u00ed dal sp\u00e1lit a popel do potoka hodit. O p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b tomto, a\u010d se udal asi teprv p\u0159ed 220 roky, se mezi lidem \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e1 zv\u011bst nezachovala. Podobn\u011b si vysv\u011btluji p\u0159\u00edpad slovensk\u00fd. Jak pan pisatel s\u00e1m prav\u00ed, jmenuje se sousedn\u00ed hon &#8222;cig\u00e1nka&#8220;, \u00bba predsa, \u017ee by na Cig\u00e1nke boli kedysi Cig\u00e1ni b\u00fdvali, a odtial \u017ee by hon mal n\u00e1zov, to dla teraj\u0161\u00edch okolnost\u00ed nenie pravd\u011bpodobn\u00e9.\u00ab Snad n\u011bkde v poli, neb i v n\u011bkter\u00e9 sousedn\u00ed d\u011bdin\u011b zem\u0159ela cig\u00e1nka, kterou lid tamn\u00ed pochoval. Brzy potom povstaly mezi lidem pov\u011bsti, \u017ee v kraji stra\u0161\u00ed! Kdo to mohl jin\u00fd b\u00fdt, ne\u017e cig\u00e1nka, kter\u00e1 p\u0159ec dle \u00fasudku lidu ji\u017e za \u017eiva \u010darod\u011bjnic\u00ed byla? Tedy ven z hrobu s n\u00ed a u\u010dinit ji ne\u0161kodnou. Jak\u00e9ho druhu asi stra\u0161en\u00ed to bylo, \u017ee k. uvarov\u00e1n\u00ed jeho na \u010delist mrtvoly p\u0159iv\u011bsili z\u00e1mky, vysv\u011btlit si nemohu. To snad dovede n\u011bkdo jin\u00fd, obeznalej\u0161\u00ed v pov\u011bstech o stra\u0161idlech. Snad by se nalezl n\u011bjak\u00fd z\u00e1znam ve farn\u00edch matrik\u00e1ch neb farn\u00edch neb obecn\u00edch archivech tamn\u00edho okol\u00ed; snad by bylo z\u00e1hodn\u00e9 prozkoumati archiv vrchnost\u00ed, jim\u017e kdysi kraj ten p\u0159in\u00e1le\u017eel. Kdy\u017e zem\u0159el, \u00bb&#8230;nebylo smutn\u011bj\u0161\u00edho a pronikav\u011bj\u0161\u00edho divadla nad to, kdy\u017e po smrti jeho hlu\u010dn\u011b shrom\u00e1\u017ed\u011bn\u00ed Huculov\u00e9 posledn\u00ed \u010dest a \u00factu poh\u0159ebn\u00ed mu vykon\u00e1vali. Vystavili mu i kope\u010dek z kamen\u00ed, cht\u00edce t\u00edm zv\u011b\u010dniti pam\u00e1tku \u0161lechetn\u00e9ho mu\u017ee, posv\u011btiv\u0161\u00edho \u017eivot sv\u016fj posluh\u00e1m sv\u00fdch brat\u0159\u00ed&#8230;\u00ab V.
